Xender works by creating a hotspot where the 2 phones send data via the network created. Problem is, BB10 devices create their own hotspot in a way that xender doesn’t comprehend, that’s the best way to put it. So few steps while you want to use Xender between a BB10 and a non BB10 device.
1.
1. Power on your xender on your BB10 device and the
device you would be connecting to.
2. 2.Let the other non BB10 device be the one to create
the connection while you join.
3. 3. Wait a bit, don’t join the connection via the
xender app, minimize xender and open the phone Wi-Fi settings and manually
connect to the name of the Wi-Fi hotspot that your friend’s phone created. The
name can be easily matched.
4. 4. As soon as you connect to your friends Wi-Fi in
the phone settings, Xender also automatically connects you to that your friend
in the app
5. 5. Choose files and start sharing
Xender makes it easy to send large files between phones that have WiFi capability.
This method has been tested over and over, 100% efficient.
Question is, what if you now want to connect 2 BB10 devices together….don’t
look at me LOL, I’ve not found an answer to that just yet. Till then, enjoy
this release.
