Last time,we stopped at factors to consider when downloading torrents.

The first we would be discussing is Size.

SIZE: This is one of the major factors to watch out for. It would be funny if an HD movie had a size of 50mb or 125mb. Therefore,whenever you want to download a torrent,check the description and make sure the actual file size matches an estimated value or you check other similar search results,they should all have the same size range.

Next up is the comments

COMMENTS: when a torrent is used,the users sometimes drop ratings and comments about the torrent. It is always advisable to read the comments about the file. It would sometimes expose flaws in the torrents,show you if someone that already got the file found a virus,an error and possible fix for it.

SEED AND PEERS: like we found out in torrent 101,the students that already have the pages which you seek or need are the seeders and the ones that are also searching for the same file with you are the peers.
So,student A that had page 9 to 15 is seeding those pages while he is a peer for pages 1 to 8 that he doesnt have.

As a result of this,if there are more peers than seeders for a file,it simply means that about 18 students are trying to copy a page that 2 students alone have. So, go for torrents with more seeders than peers.

HEALTH: this is the wellness of the file being torrented. Some torrent websites show the health of the files. The torrents client,utorrent for instance also shows the health. Go for torrents with more health.

Myths:
1. Unlike normal downloads, a movie torrent download at 98% completion doesnt mean it has download to the end and only the post credit scene is left. It simply means that it has gotten 98 percents random bits of all the total bits to be gotten. In the case in 101,the student has pages 1,3,5,8,9,10,11,12,18,19,20 and still needs 2,4,6,7,13,14,15,16,17 and not that he has 1 to 17 and needs 18 to 20.

2. There are lots of suggestions online concerning torrent speeds. Ive tested many. The one i seem to reckon with is reducing upload speed and increasing download speed as upload can eat up bandwidth or connection as some may call it and slow download down.

3. To save your data or bandwidth, when you download a torrent completely,simply pause it to prevent it from seeding but please seed,someone else had to seed for you to download the torrent.
